An invitation for Inter-school ‘Art & Technology’ Competition cum Exhibition, 2019

We feel immense pleasure to invite talent of your prestigious school to contribute in our inter-school competition and exhibition programme ‘ROBO-FEST’, to be held on Saturday; dated 14th December, 2019 at Euro International School, Sector 84. The programme is designed to give the platform to students to pack their creative and innovative ideas into bundle of learning in the form of Robots, the growing concept.

On-the-spot motivation further helps to boost confidence. Keeping this in mind, exhibition will be organized after the competition.

‘ROBO-FEST’

Robo-fest is an ‘Art & Technology’ based inter-school competition cum exhibition that will be conducted on 14th December at Euro International School, Sector 84 to help middle school and secondary school students to put their manifold, creative and innovative ideas into the form of Robot.

Schedule of the Programme
  • Reporting Time: 10 AM: Let us all gather with our vehement spirit to prove ourselves the best.
  • We Time: 11 AM to 1 PM: Countdown started. Let us rally our strength and focus on the work to assemble our robot.
  • Hold the breath: 1 PM to 2 PM: Judges are on round.
  • Exhibit skills: 2 PM to 4 PM: Let us display and earn words. We are ready to present ourselves.
  • Time to rejoice: 4 PM: Prize distribution ceremony. Who won?

The programme comprises the following 3 contests:

Creativity has no limits because imagination has no boundaries. Let our young learners come out with the ideas to assemble the waste material, under the influence of technology endorsing artificial intelligence, Robots.

Scrap Lab Robot is an inter-school ‘Best out of Waste’ competition that will give an opportunity to students to devise Robots with human figure using the scrap or waste materials.

No. of Participants: 2 students Grade: V & VI Time allotted:: 2 Hours

Guidelines:

  • Students should prepare a non-working Robot, a humanoid figured 3D model made from waste material. It should have a proper standing base.
  • Students have to assemble the raw/waste materials at the venue.
  • Participants can use smart lights, glue/fevicol, pins, colours, lace, scissors, thread etc. to enhance and ornate the final product.
  • Participants are not allowed to bring any partially or fully made item; all the preparation MUST be completed in the school and within the allotted time.
  • Name your Robot and elucidate its features to judges on interrogation. Be ready with your information display charts as well.
  • Dimensions: No bar. No restrictions.
Judgment Criteria: Presentation, Actual waste element or raw material used, Innovation, Creativity, Timely completion, Neatness.

My robot is smarter. Here, the participants would design a non-working robot to appear it more handsome. Let us give our students the platform to view systems from multiple perspectives and improve system understanding through visual analysis.

Smart & Handsome Robot is an inter-school competition providing opportunity to students to pack their skills and imagination in designing of a non-working 3D model of Robot, the humanoid figure.

No. of Participants: 2 students Grade: VII & VIII Time allotted:: 2 Hours

Guidelines:

  • Students have to prepare a non-working 3D Robot model with a proper standing base.
  • Students can use any material including smart lights excluding DIY/ robotics kits
  • Students can bring partially configured modules but the final completion or assemblage should be done at the venue and within the allotted time.
  • Dimensions: 5 feet & above
  • Name your Robot and elucidate its features to judges on interrogation. Be ready with your information display charts as well.
  • Dimensions: No bar. No restrictions.
Judgment Criteria: Presentation, Innovation, Creativity, Timely completion, Neatness.

People are fascinated by robots because they are machines that can mimic life. Let us customize robot of our imagination. This category includes a 3D working model of robot, with no restriction on design.

No. of Participants: 2 students Grade: IX to XII Time allotted:: 2 Hours

Guidelines:

  • Students can bring partially configured parts at the venue.
  • Final finishing should be given on the spot.
  • Students should shoot out the course of making a 3D model and should carry a fully charged laptop to play the same.
  • Participants can use smart lights, DIY kits or the electronic parts, as per their interest and needs.
  • Participants should be competent enough to answer the functioning and other aspects on interrogation.
  • Give a thoughtful and innovative name to your robot. Be ready with your information display charts as well.

Mandate instructions for participation
  • There is no entry fee for registration/participation.
  • The soft copy of duly filled school registration form should reach us before 30th November along with a list of participating students either via mail or register yourself on EIS-84 website, www.euroschoolsec84ggn.com
  • The hard copy of the form attached along, duly-filled, signed and stamped by the school Principal, should be carried along on 14th Dec.
  • In case of any change in the list of participants, kindly carry an application duly signed and stamped by your school Principal.
  • Participants should be in proper School Uniform and Carry School I-card.
  • Maximum 2 teachers are allowed to accompany students from one school.
  • Participants along with their teachers should reach the venue by 10 AM.
  • Participants should carry collages containing pics of their 3D models and the relevant information for display under each category.
  • The decision of the judges will be final.
  • Prizes will be awarded under each groups/contests.
  • Winning team in each contest will be felicitated with a trophy.
  • Parents of participating students can be a part of exhibition, if they wish to.
  • We will send you ‘School Registration Number’ and ‘Stall Number’ before 30th November, 2019 via mail.
